Simple Solution Organizing Daily Money Management, Professional Organizing & Downsizing
Got photos? I sure do. I have lots in many different formats: slides, paper, scrapbooked, and digital. My photos are somewhat organized. I go through them from time to time purging and reorganizing them into photo boxes. My digital photos are saved chronologically, by family member, or holiday. There is no one way to do this. What works for you?
Do you want help gathering and organizing your photos? Simple Solution Organizing does that. I know it can be an overwhelming and daunting experience. I attended the Pixorium photo seminar at the Athens Clarke County Library on October 2nd, it was fantastic. Jiffy, Pixorium’s owner, will present again on a Saturday, January 31st from 10:30 until noon. I will send out a reminder. I learned some key items and will share a few with you. Store photos: · In the Dark · Stable Humidity and Temp · Store flat I know you're saying to yourself, “where!” Jiffy suggests storing them in an interior closet. I store mine in my bedroom closet and I also have them in my office on a book case. Are yours in a basement or attic? Get them out of there….right now. Everything has a shelf life: · Slides and older photos about 50 years · Black & White photos about 100 years · Photos in frames are not preserved (take them out and scan them) Jiffy recommends storing the original and put a copy back in the frame. Have I left you wanting to know more? Attend Jiffy’s next presentation on January 31st and visit her website at www.pixorium.com. I also highly recommend Athens Video for scanning, converting slides and photos to a digital format, photo montages and more http://www.athensvideo.net/ . Now, I am inspired to do more with my precious photos. I am currently going through all the slides I inherited from my dad. One of the best gifts you can give or receive is a framed photo, scrapbook, cd or thumb drive of photos. Look out family and friends; I’m on a mission!
